The California Eye Institute is seeking an experienced Full -Time Optician to join our Team and work in our expansive EyeWear Center boasting over 1200 frames. This individual will be responsible for assisting patients with their eyewear needs: placing orders, dispensing, repairs, explaining vision insurance coverage, and supplying and informing patients with the best frame and lens available with their prescription.
Qualified Candidates Would be Expected To:
· Assist patients with the appropriate selections of frames.
· Adjust and repair of frames.
· Order frames and lenses.
· Use of Electronic Health Records System.
· Trouble shoot prescriptions
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), or six months to one year related experience in a dispensary and/or technical training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Minimum of 1- year of clerical or customer service experience in a medical or retail setting.
· Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in an optical setting. This is a full-time position with a benefits package. Hourly rate will be determined based on the experience and training of the candidate. The schedule will be Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday.
