Job Description And Duties
Under the close supervision of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), the Accountant Trainee will perform entry-level accounting functions. The Accountant Trainee is responsible for cashiering functions which include but not limited to receiving, identifying, endorsing, and depositing all incoming checks; processing remote deposits via Cash Pro and entering the deposit slip information to the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal); establishing and maintaining DSH Connect Card corporate account; and processing buy back of Non-Sufficient (NSF) check from Bank of America (BOA). This position will have on-going contact with DSH employees, management, control agencies and members of the public.
