Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the incumbent functions as an expert-level technical authority within the WAN/LAN Unit. The incumbent serves as the technical lead for network systems and Representational State Transfer Application Programming Interface (REST API)-based integration efforts between the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), ensuring secure and efficient exchange of critical data across agency boundaries. This includes responsibility for 24/7 technical support and advanced diagnostics for network-related API connectivity, endpoint security, and data transmission integrity. The incumbent will architect, implement, and sustain robust networking and integration solutions that support DOJ’s operational and business objectives. The role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders, DMV technical teams, and external vendors to ensure secure, reliable, and standards-compliant REST API communication.
