Do you enjoy working in a facst-paced Remote Centered environment with variety in your work? The California Department of Insurance (CDI) is seeking a dynamic Supervisor II with experience in complex analytical and operational work, to join the Office of the Special Counsel.

Under the general direction of the Manager II, the Supervisor II provides supervisory oversight of the Office of the Special Counsel’s (OSC) rulemaking coordination, National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) participation support, and administrative operations. The incumbent plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates complex analytical and operational work; ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements; and supports enterprise - wide policy development. The Supervisor II leads a multidisciplinary team of analytical and research staff, exercises a high degree of independence, provides expert guidance to staff and management, and represents the OSC in internal and external forums.
This position is designated under the Conflict of InterestCode. The position is responsible for making orparticipating in governmental decisions that maypotentially have a material effect on personal financialinterests. The appointee is required to complete aStatement of Economic Interest (Form 700), whichincludes an Assuming Office filing within 30 days ofappointment, annual filings, and a Leaving Office filingwithin 30 days of physical separation. Non-compliancewith the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may resultin the voiding of appointment, financial penalties, orenforcement actions.
