Job Description And Duties

Under the general direction of the Manager II, the Supervisor I oversees information gathering, analysis, and recommendations on program development pertaining to youth apprenticeship expansion, regional leadership, and industry partnerships. The Supervisor I provides direction, training, guidance, oversees work assignments, special assignments, and delegates responsibilities to staff. The Supervisor I provides high-level outreach, workforce expertise, and technical assistance in supporting workforce youth apprenticeship initiatives. Promotes best practices and identifies lessons learned in program development at the state, regional, and local levels to increase equitable access for registered youth apprenticeship programs in California.

Working Conditions

This position is located at: 464 W. Fourth St., Ste 234A, San Bernardino, CA 92401.

The incumbent works 40 hours per week in an office setting that is an air conditioned, multiple floor building with elevator access, and contains cubicles with natural and artificial lighting. May be required to work from other locations throughout California as needed including working from home if provided with proper office equipment. Typical office tools include computer, printer/copy/scan/fax machines, stapler, hole punch, filing; being in a stationary position for long periods of time and/or driving; typical office/vehicle noise and/or vibration; may encounter inclement weather.

Special Requirements

A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required and must be submitted with your application to be considered for this position.
