Job Description And Duties
Under the general direction of the Supervising Workers’ Compensation Consultant, the Workers’ Compensation Consultant (WCC) performs tasks related to Independent Medical Review (IMR) and Independent Bill Review (IBR) of applications received that include vital component of the review process from communicating with all parties involved using the case management system; responding to written and verbal inquiries received that require thorough knowledge of various laws and statutes; and tracking information in an independent capacity and/or in consultation with appropriate authorities that will result in the timely resolution of claims thereby meeting the Department’s needs in the most cost effective manner.
Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
