Job Description And Duties

Under the general direction of the Chief, Programmatic Services, the Staff Services Manager II (SSMII) manages and is responsible for supervising the quality and quantity of the product of subordinate managers and their analytical staff in the Return-to-Work Supplement Program (RTWSP) of the Division of Workers' Compensation. The RTWSP program has a $120M annual benefit payment budget. The SSMII will work in collaboration and coordination with the two SSMIs to plan, organize, and review all work products pertaining to the RTWSP unit's established policies and procedures. The SSMII will oversee the more difficult and complex tasks in support of the mission, goals and objectives of the Division.

Working Conditions

This job is located at: 1515 Clay St., Oakland, CA 94612.

The incumbent works in a office environment in an office setting with artificial light and temperature control. The incumbent is required to work extensively on the computer as necessary for email communication, research, drafting policy and procedure documents, and other purposes. Confidentiality must be maintained at all times. Telework will be offered in accordance with current departmental policy.
