Under the general direction of the Assistant Personnel Officer, the Analyst III is responsible for the effective coordination and oversight of all complex projects, training/development of procedures and key innovation projects within the HR Operations Division. The incumbent coordinates with Human Resources Office (HRO) management to ensure consistency and effective implementation of written process and procedures across the unit, training and development and key projects. The incumbent must maintain an open and solution-focused mindset, leads project teams, effectively communicates with HRO management, internal and external customers and stakeholders, serve as subject matter expert in the areas of personnel, payroll, benefits, temporary leave, position control and HR operations as a whole.

Working Conditions
This position is located at: 1416 9th Street, Floor 13, Sacramento, CA 95814.
The Analyst III, works generally in an office setting with elevator access and a cubicle with natural and artificial lighting. The Incumbent in this position has frequent contact with DIR staff, representatives from other State agencies, and the public, in person, by telephone, and/or via TEAMS and email. Much of this contact is of a sensitive and confidential nature. Being in a stationary position for long periods of time and extensive use of a computer is required.
Special Requirements
The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must be typed, no more than two pages in length, and in no smaller than 12-point font. Applicants must number each question and provide a response to each statement below, including specific examples.
