The State of California is excited to announce an opportunity for a motivated and talented analyst to join the Diversity and Inclusion Office (DIO) at the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). We are seeking an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) and are willing to consider a Staff Services Analyst (SSA). This position is ideal for someone passionate about advancing equal opportunity in the workplace, fostering employee engagement, and driving Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a solid understanding of contract and invoice management.
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the AGPA/SSA will serve as a team resource and perform a variety of analytical and administrative duties in support of DIR’s Language Access Program and DEIA program. This role is essential in ensuring DIR services are accessible and equitable for all Californians. The AGPA/SSA will assist with the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of language access contracts and DEIA initiatives, while providing ongoing support as a key resource to DIR staff in administering DEIA programs.
The AGPA/SSA will also support the effective management of agency-wide contracts that provide interpretation and translation services, helping ensure high-quality and efficient service delivery. By fostering employee engagement and promoting an inclusive workplace, this position supports DIR’s mission to provide equitable and effective services to employees, employers, and communities throughout California.
As a member of the DIO team, the AGPA/SSA will play an essential role in advancing Language Access and DEIA initiatives across a dynamic workforce of more than 3,200 employees at 46 locations statewide, contributing to a meaningful and lasting impact.
