Job Description And Duties
Under the general direction of the Chief, of the Office of Equity and Risk, the Supervising Management Auditor (Sup. MA) is responsible for directing the internal audit, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), and fraud, waste, and abuse programs. The Sup. MA provides leadership and oversight to a team of auditors and analysts in planning, executing, and reporting on complex audits and risk assessments that evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with laws and regulations, and the efficiency of departmental operations. The Sup MA develops and implements audit methodologies, ensures adherence to professional standards, and coordinates with executive management to identify and mitigate organizational risks. Additionally, the Sup. MA oversees the intake and investigation of fraud, waste, and abuse allegations, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate corrective actions. The Sup MA serves as a key advisor to department leadership on governance, risk, and control matters, contributing to data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across all program areas.

Working Conditions
This position is located at: 2180 Harvard St, Sacramento, California 95815.
Duties are primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting possibly in a high-rise building; cubicle or shared work space under artificial light, utilizing computer screens and other office equipment; may drive a state vehicle for field work, trainings and other related work. While in the field, exposure to dirt, odors, noise, fumes, uneven surfaces, stairs, high-rise buildings, extreme weather conditions, and fast moving equipment may occur. The incumbent is required to work extensively on the computer as necessary for email communication, research, and other purposes.
Special Requirements
