Under the general direction of the Regional Manager, the Area Manager, Cal/OSHA Consultation Services Branch, in the Division of Occupational Safety and Health and the Department of Industrial Relations, has full supervisory and oversight responsibility of a Consultation Services Branch Area Office. The Area Manager sets priorities and evaluates performance of all staff, and travels throughout the State.

Cal/OSHA – Consultation Services Branch: Fresno Area Office
2550 Mariposa Mall, Room 2005; Fresno, CA 93721
The position involves both office and field work, requiring exposure to various environments and physical demands. Duties include working outdoors in all weather conditions, sitting or standing for extended periods, performing repetitive hand motions, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The role also involves climbing, bending, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Travel within the assigned area and throughout California, including overnight stays and extended driving or flights, is required for site evaluations, meetings, and training sessions.
Special Requirements
A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) highlighting your experience that qualifies you for this position must accompany the application. A resume or cover letter cannot be submitted in lieu of the SOQ. Applicants who do not follow the instructions for the SOQ will not be considered. The SOQ should be typed in 12-point font, no more than two pages in length and must be submitted as a MS Word document. The following questions must be addressed:
