The Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking a dynamic Office Building Manager III to join our Facilities Management Division (FMD) in Sacramento, CA.
As the Office Building Manager III, you will be responsible for directing and supervising a large team engaged in the overall custodial operations and maintenance services for a 1 million sq.ft. building in a major metropolitan area of State-owned and occupied buildings and grounds in accordance with Facilities Management Division (FMD) policies and procedures.

As the Office Building Manager III, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and overseeing the day-day operations of the assigned building(s) and staff
- Reviewing and approving final budget estimates for repair, maintenance, and custodial operations, monitoring expenses, financial reports, and projecting cost variances
- Providing supervision and professional development support of staff and hiring and maintaining adequate staff
- Maintaining excellent customer service while balancing competing priorities
- Project management of contracted services such as building alternations and improvements
- Maintaining good tenant relations including timely follow up with tenants
- Administering health and safety programs
To be successful in the role, you must meet the qualifications below:
- Four years of progressively responsible building management experience, one year of which shall have involved the supervision of a large office, institutional building, or group of buildings of at least 300,000 square feet, involving public contacts and responsibility for a large maintenance and custodial staff.
