As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with CAL FIRE, you’ll inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of heavy construction and maintenance equipment, everything from bulldozers to trucks, pumps, and specialized fire equipment. This role combines hands‑on technical expertise with field‑ready problem solving, welding and fabrication, and the ability to make accurate repair estimates while keeping clear records.
