Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that each employee shall receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly. The salary range(s) included in the job advertisement do not reflect the 3 percent reduction in pay.

Working Conditions
This position is hybrid and eligible for telework up to three days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
The physical work location of the position is designated at the department's headquarters location, a three-story building and standard office modular workspace located in Natomas. The duties of the position require sitting for long periods of time while using a personal computer, reviewing documents, and attending meetings whether they are digital (i.e., Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams, etc.) or in person.

Desirable Qualifications

- Customer service focused.
- Confident public speaker with facilitation skills.
- Experience delivering training in person and virtually to medium/large-sized groups.
- Experience developing educational content based on established law, policy, and procedures.
- Experience creating eLearning and educational videos (using tools like Adobe Captivate or Premier).
- Experience interacting, and working collaboratively with diverse internal/external stakeholder groups.
- Experience managing large projects or programs, including goal identification, milestones and deliverable tracking, outcome measures, and implementation plans. (e.g. Conference planning and execution, Learning Management System roll-out)
- Experience meeting deadlines and managing multiple competing priorities.
- Experience with research and analysis to identify and resolve problems, and implement solutions.
- Experience working with Aging and Long-Term Care advocacy.
