Job Summary
Responsible for the load out and receiving of all product and supplies for the butter and dry powder operation.
Essential Functions
- Report to and follows the directions of Warehouse Manager, and Management.
- Responsible for creating transfer load outs of finished goods product in D365.
- Responsible for verifying product has meet QA & USDA quality standard prior to final release.
- Oversee that product meets customer requirements prior to shipments.
- Responsible for posting transfer load outs of finished goods product in D365.
- Responsible for completing daily inventory of produced goods and daily reconciliation packets.
- Responsible for resolving production and inventory errors daily.
- Assist production planning team in coordinating production schedule.
- Assist production planning to create and edit production orders.
- Responsible for review and closing out all production orders at month end process.
- Responsible for producing, publishing, and revising production planning schedule.
- Assist with month end physical inventory counts and reconciliation process for packaging, ingredients and finished goods in warehouse.
- Responsible for troubleshooting any interface errors with ERP system and mobile devices used on floor.
- Oversee appropriate inventory levels of packaging and ingredient items for finished good products.
- Assist with procurement of packaging and ingredient items as needed.
- Maintain professional daily communication with outside vendors on logistics and outside warehousing.
- Responsible for requesting repairs and maintenance on all forklift equipment as necessary.
- Assure that the warehouse stays clean and orderly at all times. All supplies and inventory items remain 18’’ from the walls.
- Keep management personnel up to date on warehouse operations through verbal and written communications.
- Oversee that employees inspect all trucks prior to loading; they must be clean, free of any foreign debris. Do not load any damaged product.
- Report violations of company policies, procedure, or working rules to a Manager.
- Follow all safety and working rules.
- Must have the ability to get along with co-workers, management personnel, customers, vendors, and employees in accordance with the company policies and working rules while ensuring a harmonious and conducive work environment.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality environment.
- Excellent regular full-time attendance in support of company objectives.
- Use initiative and judgment in making decisions, keeping with California Dairies, Inc.’s best interests.
- Support and enforce SQF / QA, GMP, Safety policies and procedures, and production needs. “Food Safety and Quality” are the responsibilities of this position.

- Sitting/Standing/Walking: Stands throughout the shift and occasionally sits while checking product orders and operating a forklift and walks on uneven concrete and tile surfaces.
- Lifting/Carrying: Lifts up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis and 80 pounds on an occasional basis. Two or more employees complete lifts of greater than 80 pounds.
- Pushing/Pulling: Pushes/pulls filled bags when restacking a pallet and while using brooms and dust mops during cleanup duties.
- Bending/Stooping: Bends/stoops occasionally throughout the workday, for varying lengths of time.
- Squatting/Kneeling/Crawling: Not required.
- Twisting/Turning: Occasional slight twisting and turning at the waist when sampling powdered milk.
- Climbing/Balancing: Steps on and off the forklift.
- Reaching: The operator reaches below shoulder level when removing or adding bags to a pallet.
- Grasping/Manipulating: Frequent use of the hands and fingers is required.
