Role Description

CCRC is seeking a Senior Analyst, Loan Originations to support the underwriting, structuring, and closing of affordable multifamily housing transactions throughout California. This position will work closely with Originations, Underwriting, and Relationship Management leadership to evaluate and structure financing transactions including permanent loans, construction-to-permanent financing, bridge loans, and refinances.


This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical foundation in affordable housing finance, multifamily underwriting, commercial real estate lending, or structured finance who enjoys working in a collaborative environment with meaningful impact and long-term growth potential.


The Senior Analyst will play a key role in transaction underwriting, financial analysis, due diligence review, and loan structuring while helping ensure transactions align with CCRC’s credit policies and risk standards.


Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience within affordable housing finance, commercial real estate lending, multifamily underwriting, structured finance, or related financial analysis roles
  • Strong understanding of multifamily underwriting, financial modeling, and credit analysis
  • Experience underwriting or analyzing multifamily housing transactions preferred
  • Experience with affordable housing financing structures strongly preferred, including:
  • Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC)
  • HTC)Tax-exempt bond financing
  • Agency/GSE lending
  • Section
  • 8Federal, state, or local affordable housing programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Ability to analyze complex financial statements, pro formas, and operating performance
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities within a collaborative environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support underwriting, structuring, and closing activities for affordable multifamily housing transactions
  • Analyze multifamily developments involving permanent loans, bridge financing, refinances, and construction-to-permanent executions
  • Perform detailed financial analysis including:
  • Development and stabilization pro forma review
  • Sources & Uses analysis
  • Sponsor and guarantor financial review
  • NOI, DSCR, and stress scenario analysis
  • Capital stack evaluation
  • Assist in preparing transaction-specific underwriting models and credit analysis
  • Review due diligence materials including appraisals, market studies, environmental reports, capital needs assessments, and plans/specifications
  • Identify underwriting risks and recommend mitigating factors
  • Coordinate with Relationship Managers, Underwriting leadership, borrowers, and third-party partners throughout the underwriting process
  • Monitor transaction progress and ensure alignment with CCRC credit policies and underwriting standards
  • Support closing and documentation efforts for approved transactions

Compensation

Base salary range: $81,000 – $114,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
