Woodworking Production Specialist

Salary: $70,000–$100,000/year

California Closets is seeking a Woodworking Production Specialist to lead our manufacturing team producing custom closets and storage systems. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing production, quality, safety, and team performance.

Preference will be given to candidates with woodworking CNC experience and/or cabinetry, millwork, installation, or engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production, staffing, workflow, and schedules.
• Lead, train, and coach production employees.
• Oversee woodworking, CNC operations, fabrication, and assembly.
• Ensure quality, productivity, safety, and on-time production.
• Troubleshoot production, equipment, material, and quality issues.
• Collaborate with company leadership and engineering on product design, manufacturability, production processes, and improvements.
• Provide manufacturing feedback to improve product quality and efficiency.
• Support new products, equipment, and process implementation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized production environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of woodworking, cabinetmaking, millwork, furniture manufacturing, or related experience.
• Supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
• Woodworking CNC experience highly preferred.
• Cabinetry, closet, millwork, or installation experience highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery, fabrication, and assembly.
• Ability to read drawings, work orders, and production specifications.
• Strong mechanical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and engineering teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and kneel throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely lift and handle materials up to approximately 50 lbs., with assistance for heavier or awkward items.
• Ability to safely operate woodworking machinery, CNC equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to wear required PPE.
