What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator position at California Baptist University?
Provides comprehensive support to the College of Arts and Sciences at California Baptist University by serving as a liaison for students, alumni, and community partners. Promotes student success by creating and cultivating relations and programs to connect students and other stakeholders with opportunities for enhanced learning activities and community engagement.
Responsibilities
1. Works with faculty and other offices on campus to facilitate programs that would recruit and retain students and creates opportunities to support student success.
2. Serves as a liaison to alumni, donors, community and industry partners, and other stakeholders.
3. Creates, organizes, and implements events to cultivate and strengthen relationships with current students, alumni, and community partners.
4. Maintains records of alumni and student successes.
5. Communicates with alumni and other stakeholders regarding College activities, events, and student success.
6. Maintains records and communication related to existing MOU's with partner institutions and cultivates relations that may lead to other similar opportunities.
7. Promotes the College and its activities through multi-media marketing, communication, and social media.
8. Works with the University Career Center to promote and connect students to internship and career opportunities.
9. Assists students with requirements for external opportunities, such as internships, shadowing, and external research.
10. Works to promote and connect students with scholarships, research, and other enhanced learning opportunities.
11. Provides administrative support for Community and Global Engagement activities.
12. Tracks and reports on Community and Global Engagement activities.
13. Assists in meeting the various students' needs.
14. Composes and prepares confidential reports and other complex documents.
15. Presents a positive and supportive image of California Baptist University and the College of Arts and Sciences.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS); from four-year college or university; and two to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in networking, event planning, and drafting agreements is a plus.
