The College of Nursing at California Baptist University invites applications for a full-time nontenure-track position in the area of Childbearing and Obstetrics Nursing.

A doctoral degree in the field indicated is preferred, although candidates with a master’s degree in nursing may be considered.

The compensation for this appointment will range from $72,000 – $75,000 annually and reflects what California Baptist University (CBU) reasonably expects to pay for this faculty appointment. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant, as well as market conditions. In addition to wages, CBU offers a robust suite of employee benefits.
Qualifications
A master’s or higher degree in nursing and demonstrated teaching experience in a registered nurse program required. Candidates must be able to function at the level of a staff RN in the designated nursing area(s). Direct patient care experience in the previous five (5) years and a minimum of one (1) year direct patient care experience in the designated nursing area is required. Candidates must have an unencumbered California registered nurse license.
Teaching Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include classroom and practicum teaching in the nursing programs. The faculty member will participate in course and program development, implementation, and evaluation. In addition, the faculty member will make site visits to healthcare agencies hosting practicum sites in order to assess and evaluate the implementation of the curriculum and teaching/learning activities in accord with accreditation and state regulatory standards and requirements.
