We’re trusted by clients such as Google, Meta, Snapchat, and even the Royal British Army, and take pride in our professional team, friendly atmosphere, and deep connection to the ocean lifestyle.Position OverviewWe’re looking for energetic, safety-conscious, and reliable Surf Instructors to join our growing team!You’ll work directly with guests of all ages and skill levels, teaching ocean safety, surf techniques, and building confidence in the water.Compensation: $23–$28/hr tips bonuses (DOE)ResponsibilitiesTeach beginner and intermediate surf lessons (private and group) following Fun Surf LA’s proven methodProvide excellent customer service and ensure every guest feels safe, supported, and stokedSet up and break down surf gear (boards, wetsuits, shade, etc.)Monitor ocean conditions and make safety-based decisionsMaintain equipment and report damages or lossesRepresent the company professionally on the beach and in all interactions with guestsSkills & Qualities We’re Looking ForStrong swimming and surfing ability in various ocean conditionsMinimum 3 years of surfing experienceMinimum 1 year of experience as a surf instructorCPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)Positive attitude, patience, and strong communication skillsPhysically able to lift up to 40 lbs and work outdoors for extended periodsReliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and behaviorLifeguard, ISA or similar certifications are a big plus and come with additional pay for qualified instructorsPerksWork at LA’s most scenic beachesFlexible hours and friendly teamTips and performance-based bonusesStaff surf sessions and community eventsOpportunity to grow with the companyJob Type: Part-timeBenefits:Employee discountFlexible scheduleExperience:Surf Instructor : 1 year (Required)Surfing: 3 years (Required)Work Location: In person
