Sales Finance Analyst

Overview

The Sales Finance Analyst provides tactical support to facilitate the strategic development of sales ready business plans for the field team that deliver all elements of the 4 Ps direction (MAPS), are aligned with company strategy, and can be customized for specific customers.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days (Tuesday through Thursday) on-site in our DTLA Arts District office. 

Responsibilities

 Trade Management

• Conduct pre/post program analysis on all promotional programs to find opportunities for growth
• Input information and manage reporting through the SPINS ROI tool
• Work with Sales Finance partners in providing analytics to measure the effectiveness of promotional strategies and offer recommendations for optimization

 Reporting

• Track and report pricing across channels, customers, and categories compared to the competition
• Track and report performance on customer promotions through weekly and monthly reports
• Track and monitor performance with agreed upon action plans (e.g., KPI tracking) and open feedback loop to identify opportunities to close any gaps
• Collaborate with Analytics team to design scorecards with ongoing review to identify business opportunities
• Assist in the tracking of key product group activity at the trade level to ensure achievement of the plan and/or identify gaps
• Analyze data from multiple sources to generate effective pre-promotion forecasting and planning, and post-promotion analysis to measure effectiveness on a weekly and monthly basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting in a business context.
• Strong ability to analyze large sets of data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable insights for sales strategy and decision-making
• Proficiency in KPIs, profitability analysis, and financial metrics related to sales
• Self-Starter: must have ability to work independently and proactively, but seamlessly transition into team collaborative environment
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
• High proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)

The expected salary range for this position is between $65,000 - $75,000 per year based on a full-time schedule.  Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting the actual salary.
