The Senior Manager of Financial Reporting reports to the Chief Accounting Officer and is responsible for leading the company’s financial reporting function across multiple entities in the United States and Mexico. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information in compliance with US GAAP and Mexican NIF accounting standards.
The position oversees consolidated reporting, board-level financial reporting, and the preparation of audited financial statements while partnering closely with accounting, FP&A, and operational leadership. The Senior Manager will also play a key role in audit coordination, technical accounting analysis, and the continued enhancement of financial reporting processes within the SAP S/4HANA environment.
This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced multinational environment and is comfortable working across borders, including periodic travel to the company’s Tijuana office.
Position tasks / Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and review of all board reporting materials across multiple entities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Conduct a thorough detailed review prior to submission to the CAO, confirming that all numbers are accurate and formatting is consistent and polished.
- Oversee the preparation and review of the annual audited financial statements, including comprehensive footnote disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, and department leaders to gather inputs, resolve reporting issues, and ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Prepare technical accounting memos as needed and stay current on new accounting pronouncements, assessing their impact on the Company.
- Collaborate with the Controller to review the monthly close and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results.
- Own the annual Opex budgeting process, including department collaboration and vendor-level analysis.
- Manage highly confidential and sensitive financial information, including Employee / Contractor related costs, strategic initiatives, and board-level materials, with the highest level of discretion and integrity.
- Provide strategic leadership to the financial reporting team, through structured goal setting, regular one-on-one coaching, and ongoing performance feedback, fostering accountability, technical growth, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives, including the use of AI, BI and ERP.
- Ad hoc projects, due diligence and requests as allocated by the CAO.
Work Experience Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- 8 years of experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, or corporate accounting with proficiency with multinational entities and cross-border financial reporting, coordinating external audits
- Strong US GAAP and technical accounting knowledge
- Proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to operate with urgency, manage tight deadlines, and adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel periodically to the company’s Tijuana office (estimated up to 2-3 times per week)
Desirable Requirements (Not Mandatory)
- CPA Preferred; Big 4 experience
- Knowledge of IFRS/MX (NIF) accounting standards
- Track record of leading complex budgeting processes and strategic special projects that support executive decision-making
- SAP experience
- Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred

Academic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree focused in Accounting or Finance (CPA and higher education preferred)

Salary : $110,000 - $180,000
