What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Center Engineer position at Calibro Corporation?
Data Center Engineer- contract to hire!
Hybrid- 2 days onsite in one of the following cities: Berkley Heights, NJ, Columbus, Ohio, Dallas, TX, Omaha, NE and Denver, CO
Responsibilities:
Installation, relocation and recovery of network, server and storage hardware to manufacturer standards and industry best practices
Build data center fabric design for VXLANs, BGP and OSPF environment
Execution of all work to data center process & procedure
Carry out monthly audits of items in store and produce a report of all anomalies
Manage asset record updates, tracking and placing assets as to their location and status
Ensure that all records are updated following any installations, moves or change
Carry out daily housekeeping checks of the data halls and record their findings
Responsible for data center solutions (copper/fiber patch leads, patch panels, connectors, etc.) and report appropriately.
Requirements:
A minimum of five years' experience working in data center environments
A minimum of five years of work as an engineer
Experience of a broad range of hardware; Client, Dell, Nokia, Ciena, Cisco, Juniper and Arista.
Configuration experience of Cisco and Arista networking equipment
Deep understanding of IP networks
Experience of working in an ITIL controlled environment with knowledge of Change Control, Incident Management & Problem Management processes.
