Laundry Personnel

Calhoun County Medical Care Facility is seeking a hard-working and reliable PT employee to join our Laundry Department. You will work alongside fellow team members to provide high quality services to our residents and the Facility.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day laundry functions as assigned.
• Collect, sort, and weight soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. and place in appropriate containers or assigned areas.
• Affix resident name and labels to resident clothing
• Sort, count, adn wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. in accordance with established procedures.
• Press/iron garments as instructed.
• Fold, count, stack, hang, and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc.
• Maintain a clean environment.

Qualifications:

• Ability to build rapport with residents and be comfortable working with them.
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Ability to work well in teams and individually
• Familiarity with laundry in long-term care or with a healthcare setting
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess at a minimum, a 12th grade education or it's equivalent.

Pay starts at $ 17.52/ hr

This position is a part-time position working approximately 24 hours per week.
