Facilities Maintenance Tech.
Calhoon MEBA Engineering School (CMES) in Easton is looking for a FT Facilities Maintenance Technician to supplement the CMES Maintenance department. CMES is a private training organization that is responsible for providing training to members of the Marine Engineering Beneficial Association (MEBA). In addition, CMES offers training to other Marine industry professionals as well as operating a fully functional Conference Center. Pay rate commensurate with experience and qualifications. Position requires following daily/weekly job tasks based on CMES priorities. Responsibilities include understanding of:
- Electrical
- Carpentry
- Painting
- Plumbing
- HVAC
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Documented industry training in applicable Facility Maintenance tasks I.e. Electrical, HVAC, Pluming, Mechanical.
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations
- Valid Driver’s License
- Maintain a pleasant and friendly attitude with excellent communication skills
- Reliable transportation to and from CMES
- Finish job tasks in a timely manner, meeting required deadlines.
- Adhere to all company policies.
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Keep work area and/or vehicle if applicable, clean and maintained.
- Ability to plan jobs and complete order requests for repair projects.
- Keep accurate count and stock inventory supplies.
- Maintain an efficient work pace to keep up daily assignments.
- Perform side work during shift, including but not limited to, daily, weekly, and monthly assigned duties
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as well as ability to stand or walk for length of shift.
- Must be able to work from heights
- May work outdoors during inclement weather conditions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour
