What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic - ND position at Calfrac Well Services?
ROLE STATEMENT:
The Shop Mechanic, is a part of the Maintenance Department, will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of diesel trucks using hand and power tools while following both oral and written work orders.
SCHEDULE:
- Fourteen (14) days on, seven (7) days off
- Open to local and non-local candidates
- Workdays typically run 10-12 hours, with overtime available when business needs allow
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $28.00-$48.00 an hour, depending on experience
- Company provided housing for non-local employees
- travel reimbursement for non-local employees up to $1,500 a month
- $40 a day per diem when working and staying away from home district

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose and repair all equipment
- Regularly perform Preventive Maintenance
- Troubleshoot malfunctions on all equipment
- Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies & Procedures
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Valid Driver’s License, Class A CDL preferred but not required
- Satisfactory Driving Record for last 3 years
- Diesel mechanic education/certification preferred
- 2 years diesel/hydraulic maintenance
- Previous industry related experience preferred
EXTENSIVE TRAINING:
- Every new hire attends Orientation and Training School (OaTS)
