What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Basketball Activity Leader position at CALEX SPORTS INC?
Job Overview
Our programs are held at various elementary schools, Monday–Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. This is a part-time position where coaches typically teach one class per day (about one hour), with the possibility of an extra 30 minutes of pre-care. These sessions focus on creating a fun and energetic environment for younger and beginner-level children.
The pay ranges from $50–$65 per session, and all equipment is provided by us.
Responsibilities
Teach classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.- Manage class size (8–16 students) and maintain a positive environment.
- Attend a 2-day training or shadowing session before starting.
- Equipment (provided by the company). (Coach should have reliable transportation)
- Take attendance, manage student sign-ins, and interact with parents/school staff.
- Capture a few class photos for documentation.
Requirements:
Must be 19 years old upon application- Candidates must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.
- Experience in sports you are applying, coaching, or working with kids is preferred but not required
- Enjoys working with children in a positive and active setting
- Flexible, reliable, and punctual
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting work
- Must complete sending photo and short biography to upload in our website and introduce your experience in sports.
Work Type: Part-time (2–5 hours per week) Pay: $50–$65 per session
Programs are offered at multiple schools across the Bay Area. Candidates must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.
We do have other Programs like Yoga, Soccer, PE, Pickleball, Volleyball, Basketball, Floor Hockey and Dance. You’re welcome to apply to any of these as well.
