What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse PT position at Caldwell University?
Caldwell University invites applications for a part-time Nurse. Reporting to the Executive Director of Health Services,this staff nurse position provides health care and education to university students in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice. Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide primary care for students for illnesses, injuries, and health concerns.
- Administer medications/vaccinations/treatments as outlined in Physician's Standing Orders.
- Counsel students on health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
- Promote health maintenance and wellness through screenings and health awareness activities.
- Participate in outreach events, as indicated, including New Student Orientation and Open House events.
- Review immunization documentation requirements as established by the university in compliance with applicable laws.
- Maintain current stock of medications and medical supplies.
- Process medical records of incoming students.
- Maintain appropriate patient and Health Services records.
- Maintain current knowledge of campus and community resources for referral of students.
- Ensure maintenance of confidentiality in compliance with all confidentiality laws.
- Assist in completion of annual report, assessment report, and yearly immunization compliance report, as assigned by the Executive Director.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
- Integrate the core values of respect, integrity, community, and excellence in all work.
RN education from an accredited school of nursing. Current NJ nursing license. Current BLS/CPR certification.
