What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weld Inspector position at Caldwell Tanks?
Caldwell Tanks is growing, and we are looking for a Weld Inspector to join our team. This person will work closely with the QA Manager and Welding Engineer to assist Shops and Field operations. Inspects work in process of shop fabrication and field construction of metal products to ensure conformance with production drawings, internal Company criteria and applicable standards. This person will be traveling anywhere from 30% to 60% of the time, and the salary range in the $90K to $100K range with competitive benefits.
- Inspects specialized equipment per Company inspection program.
- Continue process to incorporate additional equipment into the inspection program.
- Maintain internal equipment inspection program and database.
- Perform plant and job site inspections to evaluate welding and the company established acceptable criteria.
- Document and distribute inspection process using Plant or Job Site inspection form.
- When appropriate, document and distribute non-conformance reports to notify appropriate personnel when nonconformances are discovered.
- Assists in the development of new welding procedures.
- Assists in maintaining certifications for Welders Company wide.
- Assists in the testing for Welder’s certification for new employees.
- CWI certified
- 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training
- One year certificate from college or technical school (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
- Not afraid of heights/climbing
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
