Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Blind & Drapery Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately measuring and installing a variety of window treatments, including blinds, shades, drapes, and custom coverings. Your expertise will ensure that every installation meets our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Measure window openings precisely to determine the correct size and type of window treatments needed.
- Fabricate custom blinds, shades, and drapery components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Install a variety of window coverings including curtain rods, track systems, brackets, frames, and fixtures using hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, levels, and caulking guns.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to transport products to installation sites.
- Apply finishing techniques such as caulking, trim carpentry, and painting to ensure a polished look.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on product selection and placement.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly.
- Follow schematics and technical instructions meticulously to ensure precise installations on remodels or new constructions.
Experience
- Prior experience in construction estimating or project planning is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, metal stud framing, carpentry, drywall installation, or remodeling projects is highly valued.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics is essential for accurate measurements and installations.
- Experience with glass installation or fixture mounting enhances your ability to handle specialized projects confidently.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes in manufacturing or custom woodworking supports efficient project completion.
- Construction site experience helps you navigate safety protocols and coordinate effectively with other tradespeople.
- Previous handyman experience or construction painting background contributes to versatility on the job site.
