Caldwell’s is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at the Boone County Cleanfill Site. This position is responsible for operating a dozer and managing the daily operations of the cleanfill area while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Operate a dozer safely and efficiently to spread, level, and manage incoming cleanfill material
- Direct and assist customers, drivers, and contractors entering the cleanfill site
- Monitor incoming loads to ensure materials meet cleanfill acceptance requirements
- Maintain proper grading, drainage, and site conditions throughout the property
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly
- Keep the cleanfill site clean, organized, and operating efficiently
- Follow all company safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and PPE requirements
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and team members regarding site activity and operational needs
- Assist with general site maintenance and additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a dozer or heavy equipment preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to safety and situational awareness
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Good communication and customer service skills
