Preschool Instructional Assistant

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Preschool Instructional Assistant at Caldwell County Preschool . The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. This role is essential in fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschoolers while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development for preschool-aged children.
• Supervise and engage with children during classroom activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Help prepare and organize classroom materials and resources for lessons and activities.
• Support children in their social interactions, encouraging positive behavior and conflict resolution.
• Assist with daily routines, including meal times, small group activities, diaper changes, and transitions between activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children and staff.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Background check and clearance to work with children required.
