Position Summary
The Long Term Care Sales Consultant is responsible for driving new business growth within the healthcare and long-term care (LTC) markets. This role is focused on prospecting, developing, and closing new customer relationships across nursing homes, senior living facilities, healthcare systems, and group purchasing organizations (GPOs).
The ideal candidate is a professional sales hunter — a motivated self-starter who thrives on identifying and engaging decision-makers, leading consultative sales presentations, and developing partnerships that expand Calderon Textiles’ reach in the healthcare sector.
This individual will also collaborate with state healthcare associations and key industry partners to create long-term, scalable growth opportunities that support Calderon’s mission to deliver exceptional textile solutions to the LTC community.
This position has an established book of business and is a national territory position that will have an annual sales goal attached to it. This is an onsite/hybrid position based out of our Indianapolis office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • New Business Development: Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the long-term care and healthcare markets, including single-site operators, regional chains, and national GPOs.
  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Conduct professional outbound sales activity via calls, email outreach, networking, and association events to generate qualified leads and grow the sales pipeline.
  • Sales Presentations: Lead virtual and in-person presentations with prospects, new customers, and partner-level clients, effectively communicating Calderon Textiles’ value proposition and product portfolio.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strong working relationships with state-level healthcare associations and group purchasing organizations to identify new market opportunities and expand brand presence.
  • Account Onboarding: Partner with customer service and operations teams to ensure seamless new account setup, rollouts, and satisfaction during the onboarding process.
  • Market Insight: Monitor trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product or service differentiation.
  • Sales Forecasting: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline using CRM tools, providing regular updates and growth forecasts to the Director of Sales.
  • Trade Shows & Events: Represent Calderon Textiles at industry tradeshows, conventions, and association meetings; manage pre-show planning, on-site engagement, and post-show follow-up.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and product development teams to align sales efforts with brand initiatives, product launches, and campaign rollouts.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a professional B2B sales role, with a proven track record of outbound prospecting, lead generation, and closing new business.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience selling into healthcare or long-term care markets strongly preferred.
  • Presentation Skills: Exceptional ability to lead high-level presentations with executives, purchasing teams, and association leaders.
  • CRM Expertise: Proficiency in managing a sales pipeline and activity tracking within a CRM system.
  • Communication: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a polished and confident professional presence.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and online sales communication tools (Zoom, Teams, LinkedIn).
  • Travel: Must be able to travel up to 25-50% for customer meetings, tradeshows, and association events.
  • Personal Attributes: Self-driven, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where results matter.
