Position Overview
Caldera House is seeking a temporary Marketing Manager to oversee day-to-day marketing and communications during a four-month maternity leave. This role will be responsible for maintaining consistent brand presence and executing established marketing initiatives across Caldera House, the Alpine Club, and its food and beverage outlets.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, comfortable working independently, and able to manage multiple brands, deadlines, and stakeholders within a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
This is primarily an execution and project-management role. A winter marketing calendar, brand direction, key campaigns, and foundational assets will be established prior to the start of the position.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content
- Manage day-to-day social media for Caldera House and associated restaurant concepts.
- Plan, schedule, and publish Instagram feed posts, Reels, and Stories.
- Write on-brand social copy across multiple concepts and audiences.
- Maintain an established social media content calendar.
- Coordinate available photography and video assets and identify additional content needs.
- Capture simple, timely content on property when appropriate.
- Monitor social channels and coordinate responses or follow-up with the appropriate team members.
Email Marketing
- Build and distribute scheduled marketing emails and newsletters.
- Manage communications to hotel guests, members, restaurant audiences, and other established lists as needed.
- Write and edit email copy while maintaining each brand's voice.
- Coordinate content, approvals, links, imagery, and scheduling.
- Maintain the established winter email marketing calendar.
Website & Digital Presence
- Make routine updates to Caldera House and restaurant websites, including hours, menus, events, offers, and seasonal information.
- Ensure website information remains accurate across the property and F&B outlets.
- Maintain Google Business Profiles, including hours, photos, restaurant information, and other relevant updates.
- Coordinate basic SEO updates and identify larger website issues that require outside support.
Food & Beverage Marketing
Support ongoing marketing for Caldera House's restaurant and café concepts, including Corsa, Shin Shin, and Southcable Café.
Responsibilities may include:
- Restaurant social media and email marketing.
- Menu launches and seasonal updates.
- Promotions, events, live music, and special programming.
- Website and Google Business Profile updates.
- Coordination of photography and content needs.
- Creation and coordination of basic marketing collateral.
- Communication with F&B leadership regarding upcoming priorities.
Membership & Events
- Support marketing and communications for Alpine Club member programming.
- Create and distribute event invitations, reminders, and member communications.
- Promote relevant events through email, social media, and on-property channels.
- Coordinate event details with the Membership, Concierge, F&B, and Operations teams.
- Create or coordinate event signage and other basic collateral as needed.
Public Relations & Partnerships
- Serve as the day-to-day marketing contact for existing PR, media, brand, and community relationships.
- Respond to routine media and partnership requests and route larger opportunities to leadership.
- Coordinate approved media stays, influencer visits, and partnership deliverables when applicable.
- Ensure agreed-upon social, photography, or marketing deliverables are fulfilled.
- Maintain communication with outside agencies, photographers, designers, and other marketing partners.
Creative & Marketing Collateral
- Coordinate production of menus, signage, flyers, invitations, digital graphics, and other marketing materials.
- Make basic edits to existing templates and creative assets.
- Manage print orders and communicate with outside vendors as needed.
- Maintain brand consistency across guest-facing materials.
- Organize final assets and project files so they remain accessible to the broader team.
Paid & Digital Marketing
- Monitor established digital advertising campaigns and coordinate updates as necessary.
- Assist with Meta advertising and other approved paid campaigns.
- Ensure current offers, creative, links, and messaging are accurate.
- Coordinate with outside partners or leadership on larger changes to advertising strategy or spend.
Internal Coordination
- Attend relevant marketing, operations, F&B, membership, and event meetings.
- Maintain the winter marketing calendar and track upcoming deadlines.
- Proactively gather information from departments regarding events, promotions, operational changes, and other marketing needs.
- Manage approvals and ensure projects move forward on schedule.
- Communicate priorities, deadlines, and outstanding needs clearly with internal stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate
- 3–5 years of marketing, communications, social media, hospitality, or related experience.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and project-management abilities.
- Experience managing social media and email marketing platforms.
- Comfortable working with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with Squarespace or similar website platforms.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite and Google Business Profile preferred.
- Strong visual judgment and understanding of luxury branding.
- Hospitality, travel, restaurant, or lifestyle marketing experience strongly preferred.
- Comfortable balancing planned campaigns with last-minute operational needs.
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with multiple departments.

During this four-month coverage period, success means maintaining continuity across Caldera House's marketing efforts while ensuring the brand remains active, polished, and responsive throughout the winter season.
The temporary Marketing Manager will keep established campaigns and communications on schedule, maintain accurate digital channels, support hotel and restaurant programming, and ensure important marketing needs are addressed while the Marketing Manager is on leave.
The role will work from a detailed handoff, winter marketing calendar, brand guidelines, templates, key contacts, and established processes prepared in advance of the leave period.
