Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive inventory control processes for data center assets using warehouse management systems and ERP platforms such as AS400 and SAP.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing materials, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and managing vendor relationships to optimize costs and delivery timelines.
- Oversee logistics operations related to shipping & receiving, materials handling, and stocking to ensure timely availability of assets and equipment.
- Utilize data mining, data collection, and analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Nielsen to monitor asset performance, identify trends, and support demand planning initiatives.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve inventory discrepancies, process inefficiencies, or supply chain disruptions while implementing continuous process improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, production planning, and warehouse teams to streamline operations and enhance inventory management strategies.
- Perform financial analysis including pricing models, financial modeling, and supply chain analytics to support sourcing decisions and optimize inventory investment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, warehouse management systems (WMS), or warehouse operations with a strong understanding of logistics inventory management.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, procurement processes, category management, and supplier management experience.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (including Excel data analysis), Power BI, Tableau or similar visualization software; familiarity with ERP systems like AS400 or SAP is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and utilize data analytics for process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification is a plus.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams involved in demand planning, sourcing, purchasing, and production planning.
- Technical proficiency in inventory management software and supply chain management principles; experience with MRP systems is advantageous.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary; familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures is beneficial.
