What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gifted Elementary SPARK Teacher position at Calcasieu Parish School Board?

Applicants must have a valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate which includes certification in the area of employment as specified by Bulletin 746, Revised, Louisiana Department of Education or eligibility to obtain. Master's Degree preferred, Gifted Endorsement or eligibility to obtain. Applicants must be able to appropriately administer the district-prescribed gifted SPARK curriculum. Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
This current position will be assigned to the Prien Lake Elementary SPARK Center as the home school position, but the candidate must be flexible and willing to accept itinerate teaching assignment if needed or assigned by the Advanced Studies department. Candidate should possess strong relationship building skills and have a passion for working with advanced and gifted learners in the K-5 grades.
