Summary
As an Automatic Case Packer (ACP) Lead, you will be responsible for assisting in the setup, maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of our automatic case packing machine. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment operates efficiently and meets production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Configure and set up automatic case packing machine according to production requirements.
- Calibrate sensors, conveyor system and other machine components for optimal performance
- Identify and diagnose technical issues with the case packer
- Assist in implementation of effective solutions to resolve problems promptly.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to address issues affecting production.
- Coordinate with maintenance to replace defective or worn-out parts and components as needed
- Monitor machine performance to maintain product quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments to minimize product defects or errors.
- Train new operators on the proper use and maintenance of the case packing equipment
- Assist in updating technical manuals and documentation related to machine operations.
- Attend and participate in assigned training sessions related to GMPs, SOPs, HACCP and SQF;
- Apply and demonstrate knowledge and follow all procedures and policies related to food safety.
- Break down rework in a timely manner off ACP and other related areas.
- Responsible for keeping work area safe and clean.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines for job performed.
- Meet all quality, sanitation, and production standards
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervision
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as an operator or technician in the packaging or manufacturing industry
- Familiarity with packaging equipment, conveyor systems and pneumatic systems a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong Communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Commitment to workplace safety
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and parts
- Stand, bend, stoop, walk, reach, and lift for extended periods of time.
- Work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise.
