We manage alternative education programs for students at Calaveras River Academy, Mountain Oaks Charter School (an Independent Study program), and Oakendell Community School. We also offer adult education services, and a variety of special education services as the Responsible Local Agency (“RLA”) for the Special Education Local Plan Area (“SELPA”); including, five special education preschool programs and a program for transition-aged young adults (ages 18-22). A substitute teacher is employed on an on-call day-to-day basis. Substitutes are expected to fulfill all functions of the substitute position in a satisfactory manner.
Requirements / Qualifications
Applicants must hold a VALID California Teaching Credential; whether, an Emergency 30-Day Substitute Permit, Elementary (Multiple Subject), Secondary (Single Subject), or Education Specialist Teaching credential… Please Note: ALL Education Specialist Teaching credentials are highly desired.
Applicants that do not hold a valid California Teaching Credential must qualify and apply for an Emergency 30-Day Substitute Permit (by holding a Bachelor’s Degree). https://goo.gl/2nbJ4o Applicants who do not have a teaching credential based on a degree and student teaching will be required to complete an online training course through http://mylearning.stedi.org/product/subskills-online-training-course-2/ First-time California teachers must submit a certificate of medical examination form.
