Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent/SELPA Director, the AU Program Manager/Program Specialist provides educational and administrative leadership to the certificated and classified staff and students of Special Education Programs operated by the Special Education Administrative Unit. The AU Program Manager/Program Specialist will plan, organize, coordinate and participate directly in Special Education; plan and coordinate staff development programs for Special Education staff and general education and provide consultation, supervision, and possible evaluation for specialized instructors and programs. Anticipated Needs for 2026-2027 School Year: The Program Specialist will oversee educational programming for students participating in a SELPA regionalized class or SELPA-administered program (i.e. Transition Program) and provide specialized academic instruction, behavioral and social intervention, and special education case management services to identified students within a variety of settings based on overall student enrollment and regionalized programmatic needs (TK-Age 22).
