CLIENT is looking for a Software Developer who will help us create smart logic to tackle new challenges head on.

As a Software Developer you will be responsible for development and support of our WMS and logistics applications for customers throughout North America, as well as affiliate group companies. The ideal candidate understands the technical requirements related to the business and our WMS application. This role requires the ability to effectively collaborate with an energetic, and customer solutions driven team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Developing professional desktop and mobile systems
• Consulting, defining business requirements, designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications
• Implementing new software and technologies
• Provide technical advice, guidance, training and support to users on hardware and applications
• Assessing and troubleshooting issues through resolution as a point of contact
• Participating in meetings with team members, training sessions, and customers
• Lead a team in accomplishing project objectives, organizing and monitoring work process

Skills/Qualifications

• Experience or understanding of software design and development tools and technology
• Experience or understanding of IT service processes, incident, problem, and change management
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starters who are flexible and works well with others internally and externally
• Taking initiative to find solutions for business requirements
• Knowledge of infrastructure, network and desktop environment is preferred
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
• 1 to 5 years of experience in application design and development
• Experience in leadership roles in directing and mentoring team members with minimal oversight
• Understanding of software development lifecycle
• Experience with WMS/SCM/YMS/OMS and/or freight forwarding systems a plus but not required

Language Skills:

Fluent in English; business level Japanese

Technical Skills:

• 1 to 5 years Database experience: MySQL, MS-SQL Server, Oracle
• 1 to 5 years Software: Eclipse, Git, Visual Studio, SVN
• 1 to 5 years Programming Language: Java, VB.NET/C#
• Experience with Angular JS framework and/or Bootstrap library a plus
• Experience with data transformation of flat files, CSV, Excel, XML, JSON, ODBC and workflow automation a plus

Physical Demands:

• The job involves frequent use of a keyboard and other general office demands

Work Environment:

• Primary working location for support and development is on site in Atlanta CA; this is not a work from home position
• Some travel is expected, and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet clients and branch/affiliate sites across the US and internationally

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
