JOB DETAILS:
Position:Assembly Technician/ Controls Engineer

Location:ONSITE - Georgetown, KY 40324
Pay Rate:$60.00 - $67.00 per hour (W2 Only)
** Must be LOCAL or willing to RELOCATE at your own expense**
** This is role is 100% ONSITE, no remote work offered**
Assembly Planning Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Assembly Technician/ Controls Engineer. Provide technical/skilled support to EES Assembly Planning Engineering team, including design/drawing review, buyoff support, install/commissioning, and equipment start up support.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Review equipment specifications and design, identify improvements, conduct vendor buyoffs to confirm equipment functions,
Install equipment, verify safety, quality, and productivity of equipment.
Investigate to determine modification requirements. Implement modifications. Trial and adjust.
Lower cost and decrease project time by overseeing installation by vendor and facilitating Kanban process.
Improve equipment quality and productivity by implementing adjustments, as identified during online vehicle trials.
Install, set-up, and troubleshoot ToyoPuc and Allen-Bradley, etc. program controllers
Provide training to Maintenance members on newly implemented equipment
Share Subject Matter Expert knowledge to local NAMC Maintenance and Production Members
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
4 years PLC programming/troubleshooting (ToyoPuc, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley)
6 years of comprehensive knowledge of PLC s
4 years comprehensive knowledge of Electrical circuits and Industrial controls
EDUCATION: 2-year technical degree or completion of trade school program (EET or Industrial Maintenance Technology) and/or equivalent work experience.
Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings
Ability to frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching on varying surfaces.
Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
Good vision and hand-eye coordination for detailed repairs.
Proficiency with MS Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS TEAMs
Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs on occasion
Other Requirements:
20%: Travel - Domestic and International (able to obtain a US Passport)
20%: Over-time - which covers weekends, holidays, and shutdowns, when required
PPE: Will wear Steel Toed Shoes/Hard Hat and Safety Glasses
Desired Skills/Nice To Have's:
4 years Industrial maintenance experience
Knowledge of Industrial Robot programming and teaching
Knowledge of AGVs/AMRs programming and set up
Knowledge of safety scanners and programming.
Knowledge of various industrial controls networking, EthernetIP, FLNet, ProfiNet etc.
Automotive manufacturing experience.
Knowledge in Machinery Standards (NA-AMS, G-AMS, Machinery Risk Assessment, etc)
OSHA 10 certification
