Part Time Daycare Associate

Calamus Wheatland Elementary is in search of a Part Time Daycare Associate at the Warrior Early Learning Center in Calamus.

Work Schedule:     TBD

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure a safe, happy and stimulating environment for children.
2. Manage and coordinate curricula with staff that complies with state, federal, and DHS requirements.
3. Ensure that school facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations.
4. Assist in the implementation of Creative Curriculum activities and encourage participation by children. ·
5. Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials. ·
6. Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports. ·
7. Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling. ·
8. Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
9. Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
10. Maintain a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
11. Other duties as assigned by Daycare Director/building principal.

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Early childhood education experience may be preferred.
3. Friendly and approachable demeanor
4. Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.
