Summary of the Role The Wealth Advisor serves as the primary relationship manager for Calamos Wealth Management (CWM) clients, delivering comprehensive wealth management services and coordinating across our Portfolio Management and Advanced Wealth Planning & Strategies teams. This role focuses on deepening existing client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering the full suite of investment and planning services that distinguish CWM in the high-net-worth marketplace.
Client Relationship & Service Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients, building long-term, trusting relationships through superior communication and proactive engagement
- Evaluate, discuss, and document each client's investment objectives, goals, risk tolerance, and life circumstances
- Deliver continuous value through regular interactions that promote trust, satisfaction, and client retention
- Proactively communicate Calamos' market outlook and investment strategy expectations
- Prepare and present investment recommendations via phone and in-person meetings
- Articulate the firm's investment philosophy and process clearly to both prospects and existing clients
Portfolio Management & Planning
- Develop and monitor customized asset allocation strategies and investment policies aligned with client objectives
- Collaborating with Portfolio Management and Advanced Planning teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Counsel sophisticated investors across all areas of high-net-worth wealth management services
Business Development & Growth
- Contribute to Wealth Management AUM growth through client retention and asset accumulation from existing relationships
- Cultivate referral opportunities by serving as a resource to clients' attorneys, CPAs, and other advisors
- Develop innovative approaches for proactive business development in the high-net-worth segment
- Attend seminars, client functions, industry groups, and non-profit events to expand networking opportunities and increase firm visibility
- Maintain accurate activity tracking and opportunity documentation in the CRM system
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline (MBA preferred)
- Series 65 license required; CFP or related certification preferred
- 5 years investment industry experience focused on high-net-worth clients
- Comprehensive knowledge of investment products, strategies, and wealth management services
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM systems, and portfolio management platforms
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with exceptional presentation abilities
- Superior client service aptitude and commitment to excellence
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with sophisticated investors
- Team-oriented approach with ability to learn quickly and adapt
- Some travel required
Compensation Disclosure The compensation for this role takes into account various factors, including work location, individual skill set, relevant experience, and other business needs. The estimated base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $140,000. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Please note that this is the current estimate of the base salary range intended for this role at the time of posting. The base salary range may be adjusted in the future.
