Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Present menus confidently, and take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Provide detailed knowledge about menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine or cocktail pairings to assist guests in making informed choices.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing any concerns swiftly to ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas efficiently between guests, and supporting kitchen staff when needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy nights or special events such as nightclub evenings or private functions.
- Uphold excellent guest relations by providing friendly, attentive service that encourages repeat visits and positive reviews.
Experience
- Previous fine dining or upscale restaurant serving experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of POS systems such as Toast or OpenTable is advantageous.
- Strong background in food service, customer service, and hospitality roles within the food industry.
- Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations is essential.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively during high-volume shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
