Shipping Coordinator

Shipping Coordinator - Rockaway NJ - Onsite job

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Oversee and coordinate shipments proactively with customers, production teams, and freight providers

• Deliver administrative assistance to the shipping department to ensure smooth daily operations

• Review and confirm sales order entries against customer purchase orders for accuracy

• Update ERP systems with release dates according to verified shipping schedules

• Organize and schedule daily deliveries with freight carriers to meet timelines

• Prioritize shipment schedules based on production readiness and client requirements

• Prepare, manage, and maintain detailed records of all outbound and inbound shipments

• Verify and document all shipping and receiving transactions

• Collaborate with the Sales Department to respond promptly to shipping inquiries and ensure customers receive accurate and timely information

• Take part in Health & Safety initiatives and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment

• Support ongoing LEAN and 5S improvement activities relevant to your role and location

• Follow all company procedures, standards, and policies as directed by management

• Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors based on operational needs

What You’ll Need:

• Strong communication and customer relationship skills

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time-management abilities with a knack for multitasking and prioritizing

• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience working with ERP platforms is highly preferred

• Ability to build strong internal and external relationships and deliver clear, professional communication

• Enthusiasm to learn and develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products

• Prior experience within a manufacturing, logistics, or building materials environment is an advantage
