Cal West Service, Inc. is one of the Bay Area’s leading Commercial Food Service Equipment Repair and Service providers. We hold our technicians to a very high customer service standard and are relied upon to deliver on this service standard that is expected by our customers. As a Cal West Service technician, you will provide preventive maintenance service, warranty repairs and general repair services for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ice machines, beverage, warewashing and other kitchen equipment in restaurants, hotels, nursing homes, schools and corporate cafeterias. As the primary agents of Cal West Service, Inc., you will also strive to project the company’s image in a manner that will please customers and drive field service growth and expansion goals.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on commercial foodservice equipment including, but not limited to, refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers and freezers, and ice machines.
-Demonstrate effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
-Effectively manage time and resources to control costs, enhance efficiencies and meet commitments.
-Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
-Build strong customer relationships and build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs and expectations.
-Strive to reduce and minimize service call backs.
-Promote appropriate Cal West Service Inc. products and maintenance programs.
-Attend appropriate technical and manufacturing training.
-Obtain additional licenses and certifications as appropriate.
-Train team members and peers on best practice methods of service and sales.
-Willingness to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-High School Diploma or equivalent.
-5 year service industry experience in commercial refrigeration or in related field.
-Relevant technical training, licenses and certifications (i.e.; EPA, CFESA)
-Valid California driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
-Self motivated.
-Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged.
-E.P.A. License Certified.
