This is a full-time, on-site role for a Compressor Technician located in Cranston, RI. The Compressor Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of compressed air systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably. Additional duties include conducting regular inspections, diagnosing issues, replacing defective parts, and collaborating with clients to provide top-notch service. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems, including compressors and related tools.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Basic electrical and control system skills, including familiarity with wiring and electronic controls.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address technical challenges promptly and efficiently.
- Self-motivated with an ability to manage time effectively and independently handle tasks while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; technical certification or specialized training in compressor systems is preferred.
- Previous experience in mechanical repair, industrial equipment maintenance, or related fields is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
