Department of Athletics - Head Coach Pool (Temporary)

Area of Specialization: Head Men’s/Women’s Basketball Coach

Time Base: up to 1.0 time base

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An earned BA/BS degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university is required at time of appointment
  • Minimum of 3 years of college or high school men’s and/or women’s basketball coaching experience
  • Experience running clinics and camps
  • Experience recruiting student-athletes
  • Experience coordinating travel arrangements
  • Experience with Public Relations, including but not limited to public speaking/appearances
  • Experience fundraising
  • Experience maintaining a departmental budget
  • Experience with computers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years or more of college or high school men’s and/or women’s basketball coaching experience
  • Experience with California/West Coast recruiting

Area of Specialization: Head Men’s/Women’s Cross Country

Time Base: up to 1.0 time base

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An earned BA/BS degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university is required at time of appointment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of college or high school track and field, or cross country coaching experience
  • Experience running clinics and camps
  • Experience recruiting student-athletes
  • Experience coordinating travel arrangements
  • Experience with Public Relations, including but not limited to public speaking/appearances
  • Experience fundraising
  • Experience maintaining a departmental budget
  • Experience with computers

Area of Specialization: Head Women’s Rowing Coach

Time Base: up to 1.0 time base

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An earned BA/BS degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university is required at time of appointment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of college or high school women’s rowing coaching experience.
  • Experience running clinics and camps
  • Experience recruiting student-athletes
  • Experience coordinating travel arrangements
  • Experience with Public Relations, including but not limited to public speaking/appearances
  • Experience fundraising
  • Experience maintaining a departmental budget
  • Experience with computers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years or more of college or high school women’s rowing coaching experience
  • Experience with California/West Coast recruiting

Area of Specialization: Head Men’s/Women’s Soccer Coach

Time Base: up to 1.0 time base

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An earned BA/BS degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university is required at time of appointment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of college high school men’s and/or women’s soccer coaching experience
  • Experience running clinics and camps
  • Experience recruiting student-athletes
  • Experience coordinating travel arrangements
  • Experience with Public Relations, including but not limited to public speaking/appearances
  • Experience fundraising
  • Experience maintaining a departmental budget
  • Experience with computers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years or more of college or high school men’s and/or women’s soccer coaching experience
  • Experience with California/West Coast recruiting

Area of Specialization: Head Women’s Softball Coach

Time Base: up to 1.0 time base

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An earned BA/BS degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university is required at time of appointment.
  • Minimum 3 years of college or high school softball coaching experience.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Experience with Public Relations, including but not limited to public speaking/appearances and working with booster organizations
  • Experience recruiting student-athletes
  • Experience coordinating travel arrangements
  • Experience maintaining a departmental budget
  • Experience fundraising

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years or more of college or high school softball coaching experience.
  • Experience with California/West Coast recruiting

Area of Specialization: Head Men’s/Women’s Track and Field Coach

Time Base: up to 1.0 time base

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An earned BA/BS degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university is required at time of appointment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of college or high school track and field, or cross country coaching experience.

  • Experience running clinics and camps
  • Experience recruiting student-athletes

Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience. Appointees are typically placed at the beginning of the range. The anticipated full-time salary for this position is $93,960 annually (salary will be prorated to the time base assigned at time of appointment).
