JOB OVERVIEW:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in pre-op and recovering from anesthesia in the PACU.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to medical protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records.
- Monitor vital signs and patient progress post-surgery.
- Implement aseptic techniques and ensure sterile processing during patient care.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid RN License
- Proficient in medical documentation and records review
- Skilled in patient care, monitoring, and assessment
- Experience with aseptic techniques and vital signs monitoring
- Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems
- Ability to perform catheterization and IV insertion
- Knowledge of acute care practices and physiology
- Additional premium skills in areas such as critical care.
- Relevant experience with airway management.
Duties:
- Administer care to patients pre-operatively and post-anesthesia, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Utilize eClinicalWorks for efficient medical documentation.
- Utilize acute care skills to assess and address patient needs promptly.
