About the Role:
This entry-level position is responsible for the maintenance and operation of our feed mill equipment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a variety of machinery and systems, including batching systems, and will be trained as a mill operator.
Responsibilities:
- Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Dismantles machines, moves machinery and equipment
- Assembles and installs equipment such as shafts, conveyors, and pelleting equipment
- Performs preventive maintenance work on all equipment
- Cleans, lubricates, and repairs shafts, bearings, and other parts of machinery
- Routinely performs welding, adjustment, and component replacement of milling equipment
- Provide timely completion of all repairs
- Perform any inspections as required
- Keep accurate, organized records of work performed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred
- One to two years related experience and/or training is required for this position
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- A valid Driver's License is required
